Role Description The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and expanding The Novel Media’s portfolio of brands and events. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai involves prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing and delivering pitches and proposals, and negotiating contracts aligned with agency objectives. The person in this role will collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and operations teams to develop solutions that meet client needs across digital campaigns, brand management, and events. Daily activities include market research, pipeline management,



revenue forecasting, and regular client meetings to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Qualifications
• Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, client acquisition, and account management.
• Experience in digital marketing, social media marketing, and integrated ATL/BTL/TTL campaign planning.
• Knowledge of brand management and event marketing, preferably across corporate, sports, and promotional events.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with confidence interacting with stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Ability to analyze market trends, prepare sales forecasts, and develop strategic growth plans.
• Proven capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Prior experience in advertising, marketing, or media agencies, particularly in client-facing or revenue-focused roles, is highly beneficial.
• Comfort working on-site in Chennai and attending client meetings and events as needed.
