We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Terraform to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of experience in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with proven experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Required Skills
- 5-7 years of experience in Data Engineering and Cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services:
- BigQuery
- Cloud Storage
- Dataflow
- Dataproc
- Pub/Sub
- Cloud Composer
- Cloud Functions
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Strong SQL and data warehousing experience.
- Expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline development and optimization.
- Experience with Python and scripting for data engineering tasks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and cloud networking concepts.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
- Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and processing frameworks.
- Develop data models and data warehousing solutions using BigQuery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Analysts, and Cloud Architects.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance of data platforms.
- Implement best practices for data quality, security, and governance.
- Support CI/CD automation and infrastructure deployment processes.
