About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and execution-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operational excellence, organisational efficiency and business execution across the organisation. The COO will work closely with the leadership team to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, strengthen operational processes, drive performance and build scalable systems to support the organisation’s growth. This is a leadership role requiring a combination of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, people leadership and the ability to manage complex operations in a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Execution
• Lead day-to-day operations across the organisation and ensure effective execution of business priorities.
• Translate organisational strategy into operational plans, measurable objectives and performance targets.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement across functions.
• Establish processes, systems and operating mechanisms to support organisational growth and scalability. Business Planning & Performance Management
• Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on business planning,



budgeting and strategic initiatives.
• Define and monitor operational KPIs, business metrics and performance dashboards.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Drive accountability across teams and ensure timely execution of organisational priorities. Cross-Functional Management
• Coordinate across operations, finance, HR, business development, partnerships and other functions.
• Ensure alignment between teams and effective implementation of organisational initiatives.
• Strengthen internal communication, collaboration and decision-making processes. Process & Systems Development
• Build and institutionalise processes, policies and operating frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology and data to improve operational efficiency.
• Drive process standardisation, documentation and organisational effectiveness.
• Ensure operational systems can support future growth and expansion. People & Organisational Leadership
• Lead, mentor and develop teams across operational functions.
• Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and execution.




• Strengthen organisational capabilities, leadership development and talent management.
• Support organisational design and workforce planning in line with business requirements. Stakeholder & Partner Management
• Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, partners, vendors and service providers.
• Support the leadership team in managing strategic partnerships and organisational initiatives.
• Ensure effective coordination across internal and external stakeholders. Experience Required:
• 18+ years of overall professional experience, with significant exposure to operations and business leadership.
• Proven experience in leading multi-functional teams and managing complex operational responsibilities.
• Strong track record of building processes, improving operational efficiency and scaling organisations.
• Experience in business planning, budgeting, performance management and execution.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and translate strategic priorities into operational outcomes.
• Robust people leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Analytical, structured and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Comfortable working in a growing organisation where processes and systems may need to be built or strengthened.
• Experience in sustainability, waste management, recycling, circular economy or social-impact organisations would be an advantage.
