The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing the mechanical systems, automation equipment, fixtures, tooling, and machine assemblies for industrial applications. The role involves converting customer requirements into practical engineering designs while ensuring functionality, manufacturability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed engineering documentation.
• Design machine structures, jigs, fixtures, grippers, tooling, and automation mechanisms.
• Interpret customer specifications, concepts, and technical drawings to develop suitable design solutions.
• Select mechanical components such as bearings, linear guides, pneumatic cylinders, actuators, and gearboxes.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support project costing and procurement.
• Coordinate with controls, fabrication, machining, assembly, and project engineering teams.
• Review designs for clearances, tolerances, manufacturability, and ease of assembly.




• Support design reviews, prototype development, assembly trials, and engineering modifications.
• Incorporate customer feedback and maintain revision-controlled drawings and documentation.
• Positive understanding of interference and DFM. Qualifications
• Diploma or B.
E./B.
Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, or equivalent.
• Understanding of GD&T;, engineering materials, machining, fabrication, and mechanical design principles.
• Experience with SPMs and Industrial automation. Preferred

Experience:
2–5 years in mechanical design, machine building, tooling, or industrial automation. Key

Skills:
3D modelling, 2D detailing, BOM preparation, design calculations, problem-solving, attention to detail, and cross-functional coordination.
