We are currently building our global university and academic programme database and are looking for a detail-oriented Education Data Research Intern to join us remotely. The roleAs an Education Data Research Intern, you will help build and maintain Orbitly's university and programme database. You will research official university websites, education portals and publicly available datasets to collect, organise and validate information about universities and the programmes they offer. Your research will directly contribute to the information students use when discovering and comparing international study opportunities.

Key responsibilities
1. University and programme research
• Identify universities and higher education institutions across different countries.
• Research Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, postgraduate and doctoral programmes.
• Collect programme names, qualification levels, subjects and study locations.
• Identify official university and programme webpages.
• Explore publicly available government education datasets and university catalogues. 2. Academic information collection Collect information such as:
• University and programme names.




• Country and city.
• Degree and qualification level.
• Subject and specialisation.
• Programme duration.
• Language of instruction.
• Available intakes.
• Study mode (full-time, part-time or online), where specified. 3. Admission and financial research Where information is available, collect:
• Tuition fees and applicable currency.
• Whether fees are annual, semester-based or for the entire programme.
• Academic entry requirements.
• IELTS, TOEFL and other English-language requirements.
• Scholarship opportunities.
• Application deadlines.
• Official application links.
• Estimated living costs from reliable sources. 4. Data organisation and validation
• Maintain structured records using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Identify and remove duplicate programmes.
• Capture official source URLs for collected information.
• Record when information was collected or last checked.
• Flag missing, unclear or outdated information.

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
• Good internet research and information-gathering skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Good written English and communication skills.
• Robust attention to detail and ability to organise information.
• Comfortable navigating international university websites.
