16+ years, including 4+ years in an architect-level role on Java/cloud-native platforms The Technical Architect owns end-to-end architecture for the scalable, secure, Java-based and AI-enabled insurance broking platform, including the multi-agent pipeline built on Microsoft Agent Framework (Python) and running on Azure. This role bridges business, product, data science, and engineering, and is accountable for the platform's architecture, security, and delivery quality end to end. Responsibilities Architecture & Design
• Own end-to-end architecture for the Java-based, AI-enabled insurance broking platform, including the multi-agent pipeline built on Microsoft Agent Framework (Python) — covering workflow design in the framework's visual designer and the migration from Semantic Kernel to Microsoft Agent Framework.
• Define reference architectures, design standards, and best practices.
• Design scalable solutions using microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native patterns.
• Ensure architecture aligns with enterprise NFRs (scalability, availability, security, performance).
• Evaluate and recommend AI/ML integration approaches (LLM invocation via Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry, model deployment versioning, token and cost governance), including Azure AI Content Understanding, Azure AI Translator, and Azure AI Search. Implementation Leadership
• Lead hands-on implementation and guide engineering teams through complex technical decisions.
• Review and approve low-level designs, code architecture, and integration patterns.
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leads; drive CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automation best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and performance bottlenecks. AI, Security & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Enable AI-led capabilities responsibly — data privacy, bias mitigation,



and compliance.
• Embed security-by-design principles across the platform.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Leaders, and Enterprise Architects. Minimum Qualifications Core Technologies
• Robust, hands-on Java (11+/17): Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, RESTful APIs, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger, microservices — deep coding ability expected, not just design-level familiarity.
• Strong, hands-on Python (PRIMARY language for this role): FastAPI, Pandas, Azure SDK for Python, async/await, and agent development with Microsoft Agent Framework and Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry integration — Python is the primary and dominant coding language for the AI/agentic layer; this role must be genuinely expert in Python, with Java as a strong supporting skill for the platform layer.
• Azure platform fundamentals as a primary requirement: Microsoft Entra ID and managed identities (RBAC scoping), Azure Key Vault, virtual networking, Azure Storage, Azure database services, and Azure Monitor / Application Insights — in addition to the Azure AI services stack: Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Content Understanding, Azure AI Translator, and Azure AI Search (including RAG/vector-search patterns), with model deployment management, token budgeting, and guardrails.
• Containers: Docker; Kubernetes for orchestration.
• Cloud platform requirement: Azure is the primary and required cloud platform for this role. AWS and GCP familiarity is optional / a nice-to-have, never mandatory.
• Integration with insurance broking systems: AIM API, ImageRight, carrier portals,



and Cora Sequence REST APIs — including REST/OpenAPI integration design and authentication patterns.
• CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions or equivalent), IaC (Terraform/Bicep/ARM), observability, and performance tuning. Preferred Qualifications / Skills
• Event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ); MLOps; Azure Database for PostgreSQL; externalized rules engines (Drools). Azure AI Content Understanding — hands-on experience with document field extraction schemas, classifier configuration, and result confidence scoring is strongly preferred for this role.
• OKTA / SSO and OAuth2 architecture; Azure Container Registry / AKS deployment pipelines.
• Optional, not required: AWS or GCP exposure. This role's required cloud platform is Azure.
