Role Description The Assistant Resident Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in Roorkee. This role supports the Resident Engineer in overseeing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring that work complies with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards. Responsibilities include monitoring site progress, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, reviewing technical documentation, and assisting with inspections and testing of materials and workmanship. The Assistant Resident Engineer will help prepare site reports, maintain records, support resolution of technical issues, and contribute to health, safety, and environmental compliance on site.



The role also involves regular communication with project stakeholders to help keep the project on schedule and within defined quality parameters. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in civil or structural engineering principles, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction practices, site supervision procedures, and quality control standards in building and infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to engineering and construction projects in the region.
• Proficiency in engineering and office software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar, MS Office suite) for documentation, reporting, and coordination.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders on site.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; prior site experience or internship in construction projects is an advantage.
• Ability to work full time on-site in Roorkee and adapt to dynamic project requirements and timelines.
