6–9+ Years Job Summary We are seeking an experienced COBOL Developer with solid expertise in the HPE NonStop (Tandem) platform The candidate should have strong experience in specializing in COBOL85, SCOBOL, TACL, FUP, SQL/MP, Pathway, and Enscribe Candidate should be skilled in application development and Enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and develop a deep understanding of the existing HPE NonStop application ecosystem, including business workflows, system dependencies, interfaces, and data flows. Assess legacy applications developed using COBOL85, SCOBOL, PATHWAY, TACL, SQL/MP, and ENSCRIBE, and provide detailed functional and technical insights to modernization teams. Document current-state application architecture, database structures, file layouts, transaction processing flows, and integration touchpoints. Required Skills
• Strong experience in COBOL and SCOBOL programming
• Hands-on experience with TACL scripts and in the Nonstop DB SQL/MP and ENSCRIBE
