• Business Requirements & Solution Design
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data governance, cataloging, and metadata management requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and configure Alation to meet organizational objectives.
• Alation Platform Expertise
• Serve as the subject matter expert for Alation Data Catalog, including data discovery, stewardship, lineage, and policy management.
• Provide guidance on best practices for catalog adoption and integration with enterprise data platforms.
• Data Product Marketplace
• Valuable understanding & experience defining & implementing data products.
• Implementation & Configuration
• Lead functional implementation activities such as setting up domains, workflows,



and metadata enrichment.
• Ensure proper integration with data sources (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.) and security frameworks.
• User Enablement & Training
• Develop and deliver training sessions, documentation, and onboarding materials for business users and data stewards.
• Promote data literacy and drive adoption of Alation across the organization. Good to have
• Restful API integration
- needed to integrate systems to and with Alation
• SQL
- to curate views for power bi integration, to maintain mapping tables, quarterly stats etc
• Python
- to build workflows or jobs in databricks for various usecases.
