Reports To: Software Development Manager Do you enjoy building Linux from the ground up, starting with the bootloader and working through the kernel to user space? [Company Name] is looking for an Embedded Linux Developer to design, build and maintain custom Linux operating systems for the single-board computers (SBCs) in our products. ?

What You'll Do
▸ Build and maintain custom Embedded Linux distributions using Yocto, Buildroot or similar tools ▸ Integrate and maintain BSPs for ARM-based SBCs ▸ Develop and debug kernel modules, device drivers and bootloaders such as U-Boot ▸ Write user-space applications and system services in C/C++, Python or Shell ▸ Improve boot time, memory usage and overall system performance ▸ Work with hardware engineers to bring up new boards and validate them ▸ Maintain version control, CI/CD pipelines and documentation ▸ Troubleshoot issues across the full software stack ▸ Keep up with the Embedded Linux ecosystem and suggest improvements ✅ What You Bring ▸ A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics,



Electrical Engineering or a related field ▸ 3+ years of experience in Embedded Linux development ▸ Strong hands-on experience with the Yocto Project and building custom Linux images ▸ Proficiency in C/C++, Shell scripting and Python ▸ Experience configuring and patching the Linux kernel and developing drivers ▸ Familiarity with cross-compilation toolchains and with JTAG and GDB debugging ▸ Experience with SBCs such as Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone or similar boards ▸ A solid understanding of Linux networking, filesystems and IPC ⭐ Nice to Have ▸ A Postgraduate Diploma in Embedded Linux (preferred) ▸ Experience with Buildroot, OpenEmbedded or other embedded build systems ▸ Knowledge of secure boot, OTA updates and system hardening ▸ Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI ?
