Lead Software Developer – Fintech Platform

5–8 Years Company: UnPay Innovation Pvt. Ltd. About UnPay UnPay is a fintech infrastructure company building scalable, API-first systems for payments, KYC, and lending. We focus on reliability, security, and core financial systems that power real transactions at scale. Role Overview This is not a feature-building role. You will own backend systems end-to-end—from architecture to production. You’ll design and scale systems that handle real money movement, high concurrency, and strict compliance requirements. Expect accountability, not handholding.

Key Responsibilities
• Architect and build scalable backend systems and APIs
• Design payment flows, KYC systems, and financial workflows
• Own system reliability, performance, and security
• Integrate with banks, NBFCs, and third-party APIs
• Implement transaction handling, idempotency, and failure recovery
• Lead code reviews and engineering standards
• Mentor developers and drive execution discipline
• Debug and resolve production issues independently Tech Stack
• Backend: Node.js, Python (FastAPI / NestJS / Express)
• Databases: PostgreSQL,



MongoDB, Redis
• Architecture: Microservices, REST APIs, event-driven systems
• Cloud: AWS / GCP
• DevOps: Docker, CI/CD
• Messaging: Kafka / RabbitMQ (good to have) Must-Have Skills
• Solid system design and backend architecture skills
• Experience building high-scale production APIs
• Solid understanding of databases, indexing, and optimization
• Knowledge of authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth)
• Understanding of transaction systems and failure handling
• Strong debugging and problem-solving ability
• Ability to take ownership without supervision Good to Have
• Fintech / payments / lending experience
• Ledger systems, reconciliation, or accounting flows
• Experience with RBI-compliant systems, KYC flows
• Experience with Go (for high-performance services)
