The role requires strong hands-on technical leadership, product collaboration, cloud expertise and a focus on engineering quality, security and delivery. tex **Job Description** **Roles & Responsibilities** + Provide **technical leadership** and guidance to developers and QA engineers. + Drive solution design, technical decisions, code quality and engineering best practices. + Partner with Product teams to translate business requirements into **low-level technical requirements, technical stories and estimates** . + Lead design/code reviews and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable and maintainable. + Own technical resolution of complex production issues and **security vulnerabilities** , including application, runtime and open-source dependencies. + Drive engineering metrics covering quality, automation, security, technical debt and delivery predictability. + Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, Security and Cloud/DevOps teams. + Mentor engineers and build strong technical capabilities within the team.



**Education & Experience** + Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology** or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. + **10+ years** of software engineering experience with **3+ years in a technical leadership role** preferred. + Proven experience leading technically complex solutions and providing technical direction to cross-functional engineering teams. **Technical Expertise** + Strong hands-on experience with **React.js, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and GraphQL** . + Experience with **PostgreSQL** and **Solr** or similar search technologies. + Strong cloud experience, particularly **AWS Lambda, RDS and S3** , with exposure to **Microsoft Azure** . + Good understanding of REST/API design, distributed systems and cloud-native architectures. + Experience with **CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, performance optimisation and production troubleshooting** . + Robust understanding of web/API security, secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation. + Experience designing and supporting scalable **customer-facing web applications** .
