Akaike Technologies is hiring a Partnerships Intern to work directly with the GTM lead on building and running Akaike's partner channel
- agencies, platforms, system integrators and cloud marketplaces that take our AI products and services to their clients. Role snapshot Field Details Title Partnerships Intern (Alliances & GTM) Location Bengaluru (hybrid) Duration 3–6 months, full time Reports to Director of Growth (works directly with the COO and CEO on partner deals) Conversion High performers receive a full-time offer (PPO) Start Immediate About Akaike Akaike (akaike.ai) is an applied AI company — 8 years in, 100+ data scientists and engineers, served 50+ clients across the US, India and global markets. We build and deploy production AI: bespoke Gen AI, vision, voice and predictive solutions for clients plus our own products — BYOB (Build Your Own Brain), a decision-intelligence platform for enterprise data, and QTrack, a quick-commerce intelligence platform for consumer brands. Our GTM team is lean and experiment-driven. Interns here get real accounts, real partners and real decisions, not shadow work. Why this role exists Partnerships are becoming one of Akaike's main growth channels. We need someone to own the research, pipeline hygiene and follow-through that keeps partner conversations moving. Some motions you may work on:
• BYOB × platforms and SIs — system integrators, consulting firms, SaaS platforms and cloud marketplaces that can embed or resell our decision-intelligence platform.
• Services × domain partners — boutique consultancies and networks in pharma commercial, CPG that bring us into their client accounts.
What you'll do
Find partners. Build and qualify partner lists by archetype (agencies, SIs, SaaS platforms, marketplaces, networks). Screen against our gates: do they have a real practice in the space, do they sell to the buyer we want, is there overlap with what we do, how big is their client book, and is there a named decision-maker. Research them properly. For each shortlisted partner,
write a one-page fit note: what they sell, who their clients are, where our offering plugs in, who to call, and the one objection they are most likely to raise. Open the door. Draft partnership-first outreach (email, LinkedIn, call scripts) that makes the "why you specifically" clear in the first two lines. Run sequences, track replies, book first calls for the GTM lead. Keep deals moving. Maintain the partner pipeline in HubSpot: stages, next steps, owners, dates. Prepare pre-call briefs, take notes on partner calls, send follow-ups within 24 hours, and chase open items (NDAs, scoping templates, proposals, intro requests). Build the kit. Help create and maintain partner collateral: one-pagers, capability decks, co-branded campaign outlines, FAQ and objection-handling docs. Anonymise client references correctly. Report. Own the weekly partnerships scorecard for the GTM sync: partners contacted, calls booked, stage movement, blockers. You will use HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Google Workspace and AI tools daily. You will be expected to use AI assistants to move faster on research and drafting, and to know when not to trust them. What good looks like By Day 30
- You have: Learned the offerings well enough to explain them to a partner; qualified 50+ partners into a tiered list; the HubSpot partner pipeline is clean and current By Day 60
- You have: Outreach running on 2 archetypes; 8–10 first calls booked for the GTM lead; a pre-call brief and 24-hour follow-up on every call; first version of the partner one-pager shipped By Day 90
- You have:
3+ partners past first call into scoping or proposal; the weekly partnerships scorecard runs without reminders; one partner play (archetype + pitch + collateral) documented well enough for someone else to run it Who we're looking for Must-have
• Final-year student or recent graduate (MBA, BBA, engineering or similar), or 0–1 years of experience in sales, partnerships, BD or consulting
• Excellent spoken and written communication. Write clearly and briefly. Your outreach should read like a smart operator wrote it, not a template
• Researches properly: can go from a company name to a one-page fit note with named people in an hour
• Organised by default. Tracks every open item, follows up without being asked, keeps the CRM honest
• Comfortable on calls with founders and senior people, and comfortable being told no
• Interested in B2B AI: can explain in plain words what a GenAI or analytics product does for a business Good to have
• Exposure to quick-commerce, D2C, CPG, pharma or BFSI
• Prior internship in a startup GTM, BD or alliances team
• Hands-on with HubSpot, Sales Navigator or Apollo
• Basic deck and one-pager design sense We care more about hunger, structure and writing than about pedigree. What you'll get
• Direct mentorship from the GTM lead, with exposure to the COO and CEO on partner negotiations
• A real partner book: you will be on the calls, in the proposals and in the pipeline reviews
• The full partnership lifecycle in one stint: prospecting, first call, NDA, scoping, commercials, launch
• Tools and training: HubSpot, Sales Navigator, Apollo, AI tooling, and our internal playbooks
• A PPO path into a full-time Partnerships or BD role for strong performers
• A reference and a portfolio of real work: fit notes, outreach, collateral and a documented partner play
