Role Description Role Description The Software Engineer in Test is a full-time remote role focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of Protean AI’s platform and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for backend services and APIs, as well as writing test cases that validate functionality, performance, scalability, and security.



The role involves collaborating closely with software engineers to integrate testing into the development lifecycle, participate in code reviews, and improve overall test coverage. The engineer will analyze defects, create reproducible scenarios. This position also includes monitoring production issues, refining test strategies, and documenting test plans and quality metrics. Qualifications
• End-to-end: Playwright (TypeScript), Selenium
• Regression: JUnit 5, REST Assured, Spring Boot Test, Testcontainers, Vitest / Jest for Angular
• Performance: Gatling or k6 or JMeter
• Penetration / security: OWASP ZAP or similar DAST
• Design Pattern: Page Component Model (Page Component Object or Component Object Pattern)
