Job Summary MNR University is looking for an experienced and qualified Senior Civil Engineer to oversee campus infrastructure development, civil construction, maintenance, renovation, and repair works. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, timely completion, and cost-effective execution of all civil engineering projects within the university campus. 2. Roles and Responsibilities
• Supervise and monitor all civil construction, renovation, and maintenance activities across the university campus.
• Plan, execute, and monitor new construction projects, including academic blocks, administrative buildings, hostels, staff quarters, roads, drainage, and other infrastructure.
• Prepare and review BOQs, estimates, technical specifications, and project budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor contractors and ensure work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction quality and adherence to engineering standards.
• Handle campus building maintenance, plumbing, waterproofing, painting, flooring, and structural repairs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building regulations, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain records of ongoing projects, maintenance schedules, measurements, bills, and contractor payments.
• Identify infrastructure issues and take immediate corrective action.
• Prepare periodic progress reports and submit them to university management.




• Manage emergency civil maintenance requirements on campus. 3. Educational Qualification
• B.
Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Additional qualifications in Construction Management or Project Management will be an advantage. 4. Experience
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in civil engineering.
• Experience in educational institutions, universities, large campuses, commercial buildings, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Robust experience in construction supervision, project execution, estimation, quality control, and facility maintenance. 5. Required Skills
• Strong technical knowledge of civil construction and building maintenance.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project planning.
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, billing, and tender documentation.
• Contractor and manpower management.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage campus infrastructure operations. 6. Mandatory Conditions
• The candidate must reside within the MNR University campus.
• Must be available on campus to attend to urgent maintenance and infrastructure requirements.
• Willingness to work beyond regular

working hours
during emergencies or critical project requirements.
• Must maintain professional coordination with university departments and management. 7. Reporting Authority Registrar / Vice Chancellor / Management or any other authority designated by the University. 8. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Timely completion of construction and maintenance projects.
• Quality of civil works and infrastructure.
• Effective control of project costs and maintenance expenses.
• Timely resolution of campus maintenance complaints.
• Contractor performance and statutory compliance.
• Overall upkeep and safety of university infrastructure. Note: Campus accommodation and residential availability will be as per university policy.
