Leafs & Loonies is a Canadian bookkeeping, payroll and tax company for small business owners across Canada. I want to run my company with less people, so we are building a very small, fully automated team. The goal is straightforward: our bookkeeping, payroll and tax prep work should run on AI and automation, not on a big staff. The final team will be the founder, one sales person, one admin, and you. What you will build:
- Full automation of client bookkeeping using AI: bank transactions categorized, receipts and invoices processed, monthly books closed with almost no manual work
- Full automation of payroll: hours in, pay calculated, deductions done, pay stubs and reports ready, with only a final human approval before it runs
- Tax prep automation: T1, T2, GST and HST returns filled up by your systems from the client books, so the founder only reviews and uploads
- Connect our tools together: QuickBooks Online, Wagepoint, Google Workspace, email and client chat, using AI tools, APIs, Make, Zapier or your own code, whatever works best
- Build checks into every automation, so wrong numbers get flagged for a human before anything is filed or sent What we need from you:




- Real skill in building automations that run a business process end to end, not just small demos
- Strong working knowledge of AI tools, AI agents, prompts, APIs and no-code or low-code automation platforms
- You can show us something you already built that saves real hours every week
- Bookkeeping, payroll or accounting knowledge is a big plus, but automation skill comes first
- You work independently, you test your own work, and you write down how your systems work so a non-technical person can follow
- Experience is not a must. If you have no work experience but you know what you are doing and can show your work, apply Probation and

salary:
There will be 3 months of probation. Your salary can be from Rs 20,000 to Rs 1,00,000 per month, depending on your skill and the results you deliver.
