Reports to: Founders ABOUT SCALIO Scalio is an AI-powered social media and video content platform for Indian MSMEs, offered as a ₹999/month subscription. We serve customers in India, the US and Southeast Asia. We’re a venture-backed team based in Indiranagar, Bengaluru. We’re bringing finance and compliance in-house. You’ll own the function directly, working with our founders, external CA firm, auditors and payroll vendors. WHAT YOU’LL OWN Payroll
• Run monthly payroll end to end, including attendance and salary inputs, payslips, reimbursements, and full-and-final settlements.
• Handle salary TDS, quarterly 24Q returns and annual Form 16.
• Manage PF, ESI and Karnataka PT registrations, payments and returns.
• Maintain salary structures, offer letters and employee records. Statutory compliance
• Handle TDS for vendors, contractors, creators and rent, including 26Q returns and Form 16A.
• Prepare GST returns, reconcile input credit with GSTR-2B and handle applicable reverse charge.
• Coordinate income tax, ROC/MCA and annual filings with our external CA and company secretary.
• Maintain a compliance calendar, filing acknowledgements and notice tracker. Accounting and reporting
• Maintain accurate books in Zoho Books, with supporting invoices or bills for every entry.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cards, payment gateways and app-store settlements against subscription revenue.
• Manage vendor payments, documentation and expenses.
• Own the monthly close and prepare P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow and burn reports.



Audit and due diligence
• Be the company-side point of contact for statutory audits and investor due diligence.
• Maintain an organised data room of financials, reconciliations, payroll, tax returns, contracts and filings.
• Answer queries with supporting documents, working with our external CA on technical positions. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• CA Inter with completed articleship or semi-qualified CA. B.

Com candidates with 4+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience after articleship, ideally at a startup, SME or CA firm serving startups.
• Daily, hands-on experience with Zoho Books — mandatory.
• Personal experience running payroll and PF, ESI and PT compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of TDS, GST, reverse charge, TRACES and the GST portal.
• Experience preparing schedules and responding to queries for at least one statutory audit.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Comfortable owning finance end to end in a lean team.
• Based in Bengaluru and able to work from our Indiranagar office 5 days a week. GOOD TO HAVE
• Experience with Zoho Payroll, RazorpayX, greytHR or Keka.
• Payment-gateway or app-store reconciliation for a subscription business.
• Exposure to investor due diligence, cap tables or fundraising documents.
• Experience with export-of-services invoicing and international revenue. WHAT YOU GET
