Automation Engineer – Mumbai Turn PLCs, HMIs, servo systems and drives into working machines on real shop floors, from first demo to final handover. About Luna Technologies Luna Technologies Pvt. In automation, Luna works with Panasonic, Shihlin, Flexem and Fatek to bring productivity and precision to Indian manufacturers, OEMs and system integrators. The Role You will be the technical support behind Luna's automation business. You will study customer applications, select and configure the right products, and program, commission and support automation systems at customer sites. You will work closely with the sales team to turn customer requirements into working solutions. What You Will Do
• Study customer machines and processes, and recommend the right PLC, HMI, servo and VFD solution.
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, servo drives and VFDs (Panasonic, Shihlin, Flexem, Fatek).
• Commission systems at customer sites, including wiring checks, parameter setting and communication setup.
• Run product demos, trials and proof-of-concept tests for customers.
• Troubleshoot on site and over the phone, and resolve issues quickly to keep customer machines running.
• Train customer engineers, operators and maintenance teams.
• Support sales with application inputs,



product selection and technical content for proposals.
• Document every project and share field feedback that improves our solutions. Must Have
• BE/BTech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering.
• 2–5 years of hands-on PLC and HMI programming and commissioning (or strong project work for freshers).
• Working knowledge of servo systems, VFDs and control panels.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, Profinet or EtherNet/IP.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work on the shop floor. Good to Have
• Experience with Panasonic, Shihlin, Flexem or Fatek products.
• SCADA, motion control or multi-axis servo applications.
• Exposure to special-purpose machines, packaging, textile, plastics or process industries. Why Luna
