Role Description The Lyophilisation Specialist/Scientist – Biotechnology is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. This position is responsible for designing, optimizing, and executing lyophilisation (freeze-drying) processes for biologics and other pharmaceutical products, including experiment planning, protocol development, and technical documentation. Day-to-day tasks include preparing formulations for lyophilisation, operating and monitoring lyophilizers, analyzing process and product data, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure product quality and stability. The specialist/scientist will collaborate closely with formulation development, analytical, production, and quality teams to support technology transfer, scale-up, and validation activities. The role also involves adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and scientific reports. Qualifications
• Strong foundational knowledge in biotechnology, pharmaceutics,



or related discipline, supported by a bachelor’s or master’s degree (PhD is an advantage).
• Hands-on experience with lyophilisation processes, including cycle development, equipment operation, and troubleshooting in a laboratory or industrial setting.
• Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation using scientific and statistical tools for process optimization.
• Understanding of protein/biologic formulation, stability principles, and characterization techniques relevant to freeze-dried products.
• Familiarity with GMP, quality systems, and regulatory expectations for sterile and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, reports, and standard operating procedures, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with on-site laboratory and manufacturing work, including adherence to safety protocols and use of specialized equipment.
• Prior experience in biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical development and exposure to technology transfer or scale-up is highly beneficial. ?
