Data migration is fundamental to our success. Our customers trust us to move years, sometimes decades, of business-critical candidate, client, job and operational data from their existing systems onto Atlas. These migrations can involve millions of records, inconsistent source data, complex transformations and demanding timelines. We're looking for a technically strong, hands-on Migration Manager to lead the engineering team (currently 7 engineers) responsible for making that happen. The opportunity This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys both building great teams and solving difficult technical problems. You'll take ownership of our migration engineering function, managing engineers, planning capacity, overseeing technical delivery and driving continuous improvements to our migration tooling and processes. But this isn't a purely managerial position. We need someone who can get into the detail, understand complex SQL transformations, review dbt models, troubleshoot difficult data issues and provide meaningful technical direction when the team needs it. You'll have the autonomy to improve how we work, develop our engineers and help build a migration capability that scales with the business. What you'll be doing Lead and develop the engineering team
• Manage our migration engineers, providing technical leadership, coaching and support.
• Run regular 1:1s, manage performance and support individual development.
• Own resource planning, workload allocation and engineering capacity.
• Establish transparent priorities and ensure engineers have the support they need to deliver.
• Help build a high-performing team with strong technical standards and accountability.



Own technical migration delivery
• Take responsibility for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of our data migrations.
• Oversee technical delivery across multiple concurrent customer projects.
• Balance engineering capacity against customer commitments and business priorities.
• Identify delivery risks, technical blockers and resource constraints early.
• Work closely with Onboarding and Enterprise Project Management to ensure delivery plans are realistic and achievable. Be the technical escalation point
• Lead the resolution of complex data migration issues, including transformation logic, data accuracy, mapping disputes and performance problems.
• Support engineers with challenging SQL, Python and dbt problems.
• Review technical approaches and challenge solutions where necessary.
• Join customer-facing technical discussions and escalations when required.
• Ensure difficult issues are resolved properly, not simply worked around. Make every migration better than the last
• Improve and standardise our dbt models for source CRM and ATS platforms.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive engineering work.
• Improve migration tooling, testing, validation and quality assurance.
• Reduce manual intervention, increase repeatability and improve delivery speed.
• Help establish the technical foundations for a scalable, efficient migration operation. What we're looking for We're looking for someone who combines strong data engineering experience with proven people management skills. You should be equally comfortable discussing an engineer's development plan,



reviewing a complex SQL transformation or explaining a technical delivery risk to a customer. Essential experience
• Strong hands-on SQL and Python skills.
• Practical production experience with dbt and cloud data warehouses, ideally AWS Redshift.
• Proven experience delivering complex data migrations between CRM, ATS, ERP or similar business-critical systems.
• Experience managing and developing engineers, including performance management, coaching and regular 1:1s within a growing SaaS business.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, transformation, validation and data quality.
• Experience managing technical delivery, capacity and competing priorities.
• Confidence troubleshooting complex technical issues and leading escalations.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to translate technical challenges into business implications. Bonus points for
• Experience with recruitment platforms such as Bullhorn, Vincere or JobAdder.
• Familiarity with Fivetran and AWS services including S3 and RDS.
• Experience building or scaling migration frameworks and reusable data pipelines. What makes this role different? Migration isn't a supporting function at Atlas.
