5+ Years Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Solomon ERP Functional Expert (Microsoft Dynamics SL) to provide functional ownership, support, configuration and continuous improvement of the organization's ERP environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL, particularly across Financial Management and Project Accounting modules. This role involves working closely with finance and operations teams to optimize business processes, resolve functional issues, support ERP enhancements and contribute to future ERP modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
1. ERP Functional Ownership
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon ERP).
• Manage and configure modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Manager and Fixed Assets.
• Support Project Controller, Project Budgeting, Time & Expense, Purchasing, Order Management and Inventory modules.
• Configure chart of accounts, project structures, allocations, billing rules and approval workflows.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities. 2. Functional Support & Process Improvement
• Provide L2/L3 functional support for Dynamics SL.
• Troubleshoot ERP issues, perform root-cause analysis and ensure timely resolution.
• Gather business requirements and prepare functional specifications.
• Coordinate with technical teams on customizations, integrations and reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and operational improvements. 3. Implementation & ERP Modernization
• Support Dynamics SL implementations, upgrades, patches and enhancements.
• Lead or participate in functional testing, UAT and go-live activities.




• Contribute to migration initiatives from Dynamics SL to modern ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Project Operations.
• Support data mapping, migration planning, process redesign and cutover activities.
• Develop user training materials, SOPs and functional documentation. 4. Reporting, Controls & Compliance
• Ensure ERP processes comply with internal controls and audit requirements, including SOX where applicable.
• Develop and maintain financial and project reports using SSRS, Crystal Reports, Quick Query or Power BI.
• Support financial reconciliation and reporting activities. Required Qualifications & Skills
• 8–12+ years of overall ERP functional experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Solomon ERP / Microsoft Dynamics SL (Mandatory).
• Strong functional knowledge of Financial Management and Project Accounting modules.
• Experience with General Ledger, AP, AR, Cash Management and Fixed Assets.
• Hands-on experience with Project Controller, Project Budgeting, Time & Expense and related modules.
• Experience in at least 2 full-cycle Dynamics SL implementations or major upgrades.
• Strong understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Project Accounting processes.
• Experience in requirements gathering, functional configuration, documentation and testing.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Positive to Have
• Experience migrating from Dynamics SL to Dynamics 365 Business Central, Project Operations or other cloud ERP platforms.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server.
• Experience with Dynamics SL Customization Manager, Business Portal or third-party add-ons.
• Exposure to Power BI and Power Automate.
• Experience in professional services, government contracting or project-based industries.
• CPA, CA, CMA or equivalent accounting qualification. Important Requirement Hands-on Solomon ERP / Microsoft Dynamics SL experience is mandatory. Candidates with only SAP, Oracle ERP or Dynamics 365 Business Central experience will not be considered.
