Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Manager QAQC (Mechanical) to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for mechanical works across various EPC and construction projects. The candidate should have robust experience in mechanical inspection, quality documentation, compliance with project specifications, and coordination with project teams, clients, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans for mechanical construction activities.
2. Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Quality Procedures, and other project quality documents.
3. Monitor quality aspects of mechanical works, including piping fabrication and erection, equipment installation, structural fabrication, welding, and related activities.
4. Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
5. Review and monitor WPS, PQR, WPQ, welding procedures, and welder qualifications.
6. Coordinate with project QAQC teams for inspections, testing, quality audits, and closure of non-conformities.

Review inspection reports, material test certificates (MTCs), test reports, and quality-related documentation.
8. Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely closure of NCRs.
9. Coordinate with clients, consultants, third-party inspection agencies, vendors, and project execution teams.
10. Conduct internal quality audits and evaluate project quality performance.
11. Provide technical guidance and support to site QAQC teams and ensure uniform implementation of quality standards across projects.
12. Prepare and review quality MIS, inspection status reports, and project quality documentation.

Desired Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of Mechanical QAQC in EPC / Construction projects.
- Hands-on experience in Piping, Welding, Fabrication, Erection, and Equipment Installation.
- Knowledge of relevant ASME, ASTM, API, and IS standards.
- Understanding of NDT techniques such as RT, UT, MT, and PT.
- Expertise in ITP, QAP, WPS, PQR, NCR, and Quality Audits.
- Strong coordination, documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple project teams from the Head Office.

Preferred Industry Experience: Thermal Power Plant Construction, Industrial Construction, Oil & Gas, Refineries, and other EPC projects.
