Job Description Supply Chain Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Supply Chain Manager to independently manage factory dispatches, transportation, logistics planning and delivery operations from our Dhampur manufacturing facility.

The candidate should have strong experience in vehicle planning, load optimisation, transporter management, appointment-based deliveries and logistics cost reduction. The role requires hands-on execution, problem-solving and coordination with factory stores, sales, warehouses, transporters and customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dispatch Management: Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate movement of finished goods.
2. Vehicle Planning: Plan vehicle placement, load consolidation, route optimisation and vehicle utilisation to minimise transportation costs.
3. Transporter Management: Develop and manage transporter relationships, negotiate freight rates and ensure vehicle availability.
4. Appointment-Based Deliveries: Handle deliveries to e-commerce fulfilment centres, distribution centres and modern trade customers, ensuring adherence to delivery slots and documentation requirements.
5. Cost Optimisation: Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs, improve vehicle utilisation and minimise operational expenses.
6. Timely Deliveries: Monitor shipment movements, resolve transit issues and reduce delivery delays.
7. Warehouse & Depot Coordination: Coordinate with factory stores,



warehouses, distributors and customers to ensure smooth dispatch and delivery.
8. MIS & Reporting: Maintain daily dispatch reports, freight cost analysis, vehicle utilisation reports and delivery performance metrics using Excel.
9. Technology & AI: Leverage technology, automation and AI tools to improve supply chain planning, reporting and operational efficiency.
10. Process Improvement: Establish SOPs, improve operational controls and ensure accountability across the supply chain function.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 7–12 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics or dispatch management, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
- Experience handling high-volume daily dispatches.
- Strong understanding of transportation, vehicle planning and load optimisation.
- Experience in appointment-based deliveries to e-commerce and up-to-date trade distribution centres.
- Demonstrated ability to reduce logistics costs and improve delivery timelines.
- Excellent Excel and MIS reporting skills.
- Practical problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- Comfortable working from our Dhampur factory.
