Education: B.E. / B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.

Experience: 5-10 years of core experience in Project Planning & Scheduling within the Thermal Power/Power Plant industry.

Software Skills: Advanced hands-on proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project is required.

Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction, installation, and commissioning sequence of Boiler, Steam Turbine, Generator (BTG), and Balance of Plant (BOP).

Key Responsibilities:

Scheduling: Develop, monitor, and maintain overall project execution schedules (Level 1 to Level 3) including detailed construction, installation, commissioning, and resource deployment plans using Primavera P6/MS Project.

Monitoring & Progress Control: Track daily, weekly, and monthly physical progress against the approved baseline schedule. Prepare S-curves, dashboards, and detailed MIS reports.

Critical Path Analysis: Identify critical path activities, potential bottlenecks, and schedule deviations.

Delay Mitigation: Conduct delay analysis and prepare viable catch-up plans and recovery schedules to meet project completion targets.

Coordination:



Act as the central node for coordination between Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, C&I;, and Commissioning departments to ensure site readiness.

Review Meetings: Conduct regular progress review meetings with project management, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Resource Planning: Monitor manpower/equipment deployment and engineering/material deliverables in line with the schedule.

Technical Skills Required:

Expertise in WBS preparation, CPM, Critical Path analysis, Resource Loading, and Levelling.

Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced) and PowerPoint.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Must have experience working with reputed EPC Contractors, Project Management Consultants (PMC), or Power Sector companies.

Prior experience in projects of 660 MW capacity or above is highly preferred.

Robust communication and coordination skills to manage multiple execution agencies.

Certification in Project Planning / Primavera P6 will be an added advantage.
