Position: Head Electrical Maintenance
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Experience: 1520+ Years
Location: Angul, Odisha

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the complete Electrical Maintenance function of the coal mining project, ensuring high equipment availability, operational reliability, uninterrupted power supply and effective preventive and breakdown maintenance. The role will also oversee Instrumentation and Automation maintenance to ensure safe, efficient and reliable mining operations.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

- Electrical Maintenance: Lead preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, switchgears, motors, generators and power distribution networks.
- Mining Equipment Maintenance: Ensure reliable electrical maintenance of HEMM, excavators, dumpers, conveyors, crushers, pumps and other mining equipment.
- Instrumentation Maintenance: Oversee maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of field instruments, sensors, transmitters, control panels and monitoring systems.




- Automation & Control Systems: Manage maintenance of PLC, SCADA, VFD, HMI and other automation and control systems to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Breakdown & Reliability Management: Minimize equipment downtime through effective troubleshooting, root cause analysis, preventive maintenance planning and implementation of corrective actions.
- Power Management: Ensure uninterrupted power supply, productive load management and optimum utilization of electrical infrastructure across mining operations.
- Project & Commissioning Support: Oversee electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, commissioning and integration activities for new mining infrastructure and equipment.
- Safety & Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with DGMS regulations, CEA standards, electrical safety norms and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Budget & Vendor Management: Manage maintenance budgets, CAPEX, OPEX, critical spares, annual maintenance contracts and coordination with OEMs and service providers.
- Team Leadership: Lead Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation maintenance teams, ensuring technical competency, workforce productivity and adherence to safety standards.
