Teppa Caf & Bakery is looking for an experienced, hands-on *Caf & Bakery Business Consultant* to help establish a commercially viable, customer-focused and scalable bakery-caf business in Hyderabad.

Our vision is to build a distinctive brand serving Hyderabad’s urban and upper-middle-class customers through premium bakery products, brownies, pastries, celebration cakes, biscuits, cookies, caf beverages and gifting solutions.

We are particularly interested in professionals who have *successfully launched, managed or improved a caf, bakery, patisserie or food retail business*, especially within an SME, start-up or emerging brand environment.

## Key Responsibilities

*1. Business Model & Financial Planning*

- Develop a practical business plan, launch roadmap and outlet-level financial model.

- Define startup investment, operating expenses, break-even targets and working capital requirements.

- Recommend commercially viable formats for a caf and bakery outlet.

*2. Menu Development & Profitability*

- Develop a focused launch menu suited to Hyderabad customer preferences.

- Establish recipe costing, selling prices, portion sizes, gross margins and promotional offers.

- Identify signature products and high-potential categories for repeat purchases and gifting.

*3. Outlet Setup & Launch*

- Recommend suitable locations, store layouts, kitchen requirements and equipment.

- Support vendor selection, procurement, staffing, training and launch readiness.

- Establish operating procedures for production, inventory, hygiene, customer service and quality control.

*4. Supply Chain & Operations*

- Build a cost-effective supplier and procurement framework.





- Recommend production planning, central kitchen options and distribution processes where appropriate.

- Introduce systems to control wastage, manage stock and improve outlet profitability.

*5. Growth & Scalability*

- Develop a repeatable operating model for future outlets.

- Define key performance indicators, reporting dashboards and expansion readiness criteria.

- Recommend practical strategies to build customer loyalty and strengthen the brand.

## Candidate Profile

- Proven experience in the caf, bakery, patisserie, QSR or food-service industry.

- Demonstrable experience launching or improving at least one caf, bakery or food retail business.

- Previous work with SMEs, start-ups, independent operators or emerging food brands is preferred.

- Robust understanding of menu engineering, product costing, procurement, food safety and retail operations.

- Ability to demonstrate measurable improvements in sales, margins, cost control or operational efficiency.

- Hands-on, commercially minded and capable of translating strategy into execution.

- Familiarity with Hyderabad’s food retail market is an advantage.

## Initial Consulting Assignment

The selected consultant will be expected to propose a practical, deliverable-based engagement covering:

1. *Business feasibility:* Target customers, positioning, competitor review and business model.

2. *Menu and costing:* Recommended launch menu, recipe-level cost estimates,



selling prices and gross-margin analysis.

3. *Outlet setup:* Location criteria, equipment requirements, vendor categories and estimated setup budget.

4. *Operating model:* Staffing, SOPs, procurement, inventory, production and quality control.

5. *Launch plan:* A realistic implementation timeline, launch marketing plan and key performance indicators.

6. *Unit economics:* Monthly sales scenarios, operating costs, break-even analysis and outlet-level profitability.

Candidates should be comfortable presenting assumptions, identifying risks and recommending cost-effective solutions suitable for a growing SME.

- *Duration:* To be agreed based on scope and deliverables
