JOB SUMMARY

The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting activities, invoice processing, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, employee expense claims, and statutory compliance documentation. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain proper financial records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Accounting and Bookkeeping

1

Record daily financial transactions in Tally, Zoho Books, or other accounting software.

Maintain purchase, sales, receipt, and payment entries.

Prepare journal vouchers and assist with ledger scrutiny.

4

Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.

B. Accounts Payable (AP)

1

Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and approvals.

Process vendor bills, employee reimbursements, and expense claims.

Check GST, TDS, and other applicable tax details on invoices.

Follow up with internal teams and vendors for missing invoices and supporting documents.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Assist in preparing and issuing customer invoices.

Record customer receipts and perform customer ledger reconciliations.

Follow up on outstanding invoices and payment confirmations.

Maintain customer billing records and supporting documents.

D. Bank and Cash Management

1

Perform bank reconciliations and identify unmatched transactions.

Record bank charges, receipts, and payments.

3

Maintain petty cash records, where applicable.

E. Taxation and Compliance Support

1

Basic knowledge of accounting principles, GST, and TDS.

REQUIRED SKILLS

1

Basic knowledge of Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software.

Valuable working knowledge of MS Excel.

3

Good communication and coordination skills.
