Electrical/Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

- Program and configuration of PLC/HMI systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, B&R;, Beckhoff) for equipment control.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts for industrial equipment using CAD tools
- Design control panels for industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Utilize industry-standard electrical CAD software to develop accurate designs for stand-alone equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate electrical systems into mechanical assemblies.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and ensure proper documentation for production.
- Revise and update drawings based on engineering changes or feedback.
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and company guidelines.

Qualifications

- Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Drafting, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.



Bachelors degree in electrical engineering preferred.
- Proficiency in electrical CAD tools for schematic and panel design
- Experience in control panel design for industrial equipment
- Familiarity with PLC/HMI programming and configuration (Siemens, Allen Bradley, B&R;, Beckhoff preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, power systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
- Understanding of electrical components, circuits, and industrial automation systems
- Understanding of relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEC, UL).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for documentation and BOM management
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical drafting within an industrial or manufacturing workplace
