About Masters Union

Founded in 2020, Masters Union is a recent-age, industry-led university focused on business, technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship. Built around learning by doing, the institution combines academics with real-world projects, startup building, and global exposure, with the ambition of becoming one of the world’s top business schools and multidisciplinary universities over the next two decades.

Today, Masters’ Union has nearly 3,500 students across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive programs, with almost half being experienced professionals. Spread across nearly 5 lakh square feet in Gurgaon and Manesar, the institution houses the PwC Center for Generative AI, a Bloomberg Lab, Gurgaon’s premier maker space, AI and robotics infrastructure, advanced bioengineering workshops, and startup incubation spaces, while also expanding into areas such as bioengineering and genetic engineering.

The institution is chaired by Manoj Kohli, former CEO of Bharti Airtel and former Country Head of SoftBank India. Its leadership ecosystem includes Vivek Gambhir, Pankaj Bansal, Sanjiv Bikhchandani, Amitabh Kant, and 30+ other founders, CEOs, investors, and policymakers who contribute to teaching and institution building.

Masters’ Union’s flagship postgraduate program has recorded the highest average salary among MBA-equivalent programs in India, with graduates placed at firms such as Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Google, and Microsoft. The institution has also built one of the country’s strongest student startup ecosystems, with 10+ students pitching on Shark Tank India and 20+ students raising external funding for their ventures, alongside several successful creators and internet entrepreneurs.

About the Role

Masters’ Union UG Admissions needs someone who can take a complex, high-stakes problem and own it end-to-end: getting more of the right students to engage, apply and enroll. Events, CLM and building a school community will be the key levers to drive this. The role will involve deciding which initiatives to prioritize, when to deploy them and how to measure their impact, while leading a team comprising an Associate and an Intern to drive execution.

Specifically, this role will involve

- Owning the complete journey from lead to event to application to paid application, identifying gaps and drop-offs across the funnel.
- Evaluating events, formats, target audiences and cities to determine their cost-effectiveness and deciding what to scale, improve or discontinue.
- Translating benchmarks, competitor activity and data into actionable plans and quick experiments.
- Building a community around the school ecosystem, including defining its purpose, structure, program and growth targets.
- Creating ambassador and partner networks, drawing inspiration from initiatives such as the PGP team's AI Builders community of 15,000+ tech professionals and 252 campus ambassadors across 150+ colleges.
- Developing the community as a consistent source of engaged prospective students.
- Aligning the CLM calendar with events and community initiatives in collaboration with the CLM team responsible for communication execution.

- Reviewing communication cadences to drive registrations, attendance and conversions while optimizing spends that do not contribute to outcomes.
- Building dashboards and tracking mechanisms across events, CLM and community, covering costs, engagement and funnel movement.
- Running experiments across formats, messaging and audience segments, and reporting ROI through actionable insights.
- Setting direction and quality standards for the Associate and Intern, who will manage logistics and day-to-day event operations.
- Stepping in for high-stakes events, identifying risks early and escalating potential blockers.
- Building SOPs and playbooks to ensure processes and systems operate independently.
- Coordinating with Admissions, Marketing, Branding, Campus Operations and Student teams, while hosting or moderating key sessions.

Ideal candidate will have

- Around 4–7 years of experience in a Founder’s Office, Growth, Strategy, Business Operations, Consulting, Startup Operations, Community or Marketing role, with a track record of owning ambiguous problems.
- A builder's mindset, with experience taking an initiative from zero to execution, whether a programme, community, channel or process.
- Strong analytical skills, with comfort working with funnels, dashboards and spreadsheets, and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with founders, admissions leaders and students.
- A resourceful, agile and proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership without waiting for direction.
- Willingness to travel for key events.
- Good to have: Experience in education, admissions, student communities or lead-generation funnels. Event experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
