Housekeeping Staff Responsibilities

1. Clean and make up guest rooms daily: bed making, dusting, vacuuming, mopping.
2. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilet, basin, shower, and mirrors.
3. Change bed linen and towels, and restock toiletries and amenities.
4. Clean public areas such as lobby, corridors, lifts, restrooms, and dining areas.
5. Segregate and dispose of waste properly.
6. Collect soiled linen and coordinate with the laundry.
7. Report damaged items or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
8. Hand over any lost-and-found items to the supervisor.
9. Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality, and follow knock-and-announce rules.
10. Follow hygiene and safety rules, and wear uniform and ID card at all times.

Both male and female staff share these duties. Heavy tasks (furniture shifting, machine scrubbing) usually go to male staff, and occupied guest rooms are often handled by female staff.
