? Job Location: Rohad Industrial Area, Bahadurgarh, Haryana

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Painting Engineer / Paint Quality Engineer with strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), Heavy Structural Steel Fabrication, and Industrial Steel Structure Painting.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in surface preparation, industrial painting processes, paint quality inspection, DFT measurement, and supervision of painting operations in a steel fabrication manufacturing plant.

? Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Surface Preparation & Inspection

- Supervise surface cleaning, grinding, degreasing, and preparation before painting.
- Ensure proper removal of rust, oil, welding spatters, dust, and other contaminants.
- Inspect surface preparation standards before primer application.
- Ensure compliance with approved painting specifications and quality standards.

2. Painting Process & Execution

- Supervise daily painting operations for PEB and heavy fabricated steel structures.
- Ensure correct application of primer, epoxy, PU, and other industrial protective coatings as per project requirements.
- Monitor paint mixing ratios, thinner usage, pot life, application methods, and curing time.
- Ensure uniform paint application and proper coating thickness.
- Coordinate with production teams to achieve daily painting targets.

3. Paint Quality Control & DFT Inspection

- Conduct Wet Film Thickness (WFT) and Dry Film Thickness (DFT) inspections.
- Ensure painting quality meets approved project specifications.




- Identify and rectify painting defects such as runs, sagging, pinholes, peeling, blistering, and uneven coating.
- Monitor intercoat intervals, adhesion, and overall coating quality.
- Maintain painting inspection reports, DFT records, and quality checklists.

4. Production Planning & Team Supervision

- Manage painters, helpers, and painting supervisors.
- Plan daily painting activities according to fabrication and dispatch schedules.
- Ensure timely completion of painting without compromising quality.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Quality, and Dispatch departments.
- Monitor manpower productivity and painting output.

5. Paint Consumption & Material Management

- Monitor paint consumption against theoretical and approved consumption.
- Minimize paint wastage, rework, and unnecessary material usage.
- Maintain records of paint, primer, thinner, and consumables.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of painting materials.

6. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure secure handling of paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
- Implement proper PPE usage and fire safety practices.
- Maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions in the painting area.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industrial painting standards and company quality procedures.

? Required Qualifications & Experience

- Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production,



Chemical, or relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience: Preferably 3–7 years in industrial structural steel painting.
- Prior experience in PEB manufacturing, heavy steel fabrication, industrial structures, or structural steel coating facilities is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DFT gauges, coating inspection, paint application techniques, and surface preparation.
- Familiarity with ISO, SSPC/AMPP, and relevant painting standards will be an added advantage.
- Ability to independently manage painting operations, manpower, and quality control.
- Candidates with practical shop-floor experience will be preferred.
