Role Description The Volunteer role at WM is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhopal. Volunteers support local environmental and community initiatives, including assisting with waste reduction campaigns, educational outreach, and event coordination. Day-to-day tasks may involve engaging with community members, distributing informational materials, helping organize clean-up drives, and supporting staff with basic administrative duties related to sustainability programs.

Volunteers collaborate with team members to track activities, report outcomes, and provide feedback that improves community engagement and environmental impact. This role offers exposure to practical waste management practices and the opportunity to contribute directly to local sustainability goals.

Qualifications

- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse community members, team members, and local stakeholders.
- Robust organizational skills, including time management,



attention to detail, and reliability in completing assigned tasks.
- Demonstrated interest in environmental sustainability, community service, or social impact initiatives.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bhopal, including participation in outdoor activities and community events as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for reporting, documentation, and communication (e.g., email, spreadsheets, and online forms).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and follow safety, environmental, and ethical guidelines.
- Prior volunteer or community outreach experience is beneficial but not required.
