Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a VMC Operator cum Setter located at the Hyderabad manufacturing unit. The role involves operating and setting Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) for precision component manufacturing, including machine setup, fixture installation, tool selection, and program loading. The VMC Operator cum Setter will interpret engineering drawings, verify dimensions and tolerances, and perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments.

Daily tasks include monitoring machine performance,



adjusting parameters to maintain quality standards, performing basic troubleshooting, and coordinating with supervisors and quality teams to meet production targets. The role also requires maintaining a clean and safe work area and following all safety and process compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

- CNC and VMC operation and setting skills, including tooling, fixture setup, and basic program handling.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, with understanding of close tolerances and machining standards.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and height gauges for quality checks.
- Basic knowledge of machining processes (e.g., drilling, boring, milling, surface finishing) and materials used in precision engineering.
- Experience working in a precision manufacturing or machine shop environment, preferably with micron-level tolerances.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work safely and efficiently in an in office production setting.
- Minimum ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or relevant trade; prior experience as a VMC operator/setter is highly desirable.
- Willingness to work in shifts as required and collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
