Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated VFD Service & Commissioning Engineer to handle the installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and related control systems. The role involves ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of electrical drive systems across industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform installation, wiring, and commissioning of VFDs

· Configure VFD parameters and support integration with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems.

· Conduct functional testing, performance verification, and troubleshooting

· Perform preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and health checks of installed VFDs

· Provide on-site technical support and startup assistance

· Diagnose VFD faults, identify hardware/software issues, and carry out corrective maintenance and repair.

· Prepare commissioning reports, documentation, and as-built drawings





· Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and customer requirements

· Train maintenance personnel or end users on system operation and preventive maintenance

· Collaborate with project engineers, clients, and OEMs during system integration

· Assist in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering

· 2–8 years of hands-on experience in VFD commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

· Strong understanding of motor control principles and industrial power systems

· Hands-on experience with VFD parameterization and industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and EtherNet/IP.

· Experience working in industrial environments such as steel plants, power plants, or process industries.

· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

· Valuable communication and customer-handling skills

· Willingness to travel to customer sites and provide breakdown or emergency support when required

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

· Hands-on experience with ABB VFDs (ACS580, ACS800, ACS880, ACS560 or equivalent models)

· Hands-on experience with both LV and MV VFDs

· Experience with PLC programming or SCADA systems

· Certification or training in specific VFD brands (ABB, Siemens, etc.)
