About LocutaLocuta is a live AI-powered communication coaching platform helping individuals improve their speaking skills through structured practice and personalized AI feedback. We are expanding our technology capabilities and building a long-term core team to scale the product.

About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to own Locuta's technology function, architecture, and product development.

You will work directly with the founder, lead technical decisions, and build scalable AI-powered product experiences. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership.

This is a long-term core team opportunity. Candidates must be willing and able to transition into a full time role following funding.

Key Responsibilities

- Own Locuta's technical architecture and roadmap.
- Lead hands-on frontend and backend development using React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Build and optimize AI integrations and speech workflows.
- Make technical decisions around scalability, performance, security, and infrastructure.
- Maintain platform reliability and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with the founder on product strategy and implementation.
- Lead future technical hiring and team development.





What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience building and maintaining full-stack applications.
- Strong understanding of APIs, databases, and system architecture.
- Experience integrating AI models and APIs.
- Strong technical ownership, problem-solving, and execution skills.

Preferred: Experience with OpenAI APIs, voice AI, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, Supabase or PostgreSQL. Previous startup experience is a plus. Long-Term Opportunity & CompensationLocuta is pre-funding. We are building a core technology team committed to growing with the company.
