Job Overview

Narwar Lakefront Resort is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic South Indian Commi 2 to join our culinary team. The candidate will assist in preparing authentic South Indian dishes, maintaining food quality and consistency, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations while following resort standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes, including dosa, idli, vada, uttapam, upma, sambhar, rasam, and chutneys.
- Assist in the preparation of breakfast and à la carte menu items.
- Prepare daily mise en place, batters, spice mixes, and other ingredients.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
- Assist the South Indian Commi 1 and senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
- Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food ingredients.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the assigned kitchen section.
- Follow food safety standards and kitchen SOPs.
- Monitor ingredient usage and minimize food wastage.
- Coordinate with other kitchen team members during service.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and professional conduct.

Requirements




- Minimum qualification: 10th or 12th Pass preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in South Indian cuisine.
- Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant preferred.
- Positive knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to prepare authentic South Indian breakfast and main-course dishes.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards.
- Ability to work under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Good teamwork and time-management skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
