Job Title: Sourcing of Bare PCB Specialist

Location : Yelahanka, Bengaluru

Job Summary The Sourcing of Bare PCB Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and managing the end-

to-end global and domestic sourcing strategy for bare printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role focuses on optimizing total cost, mitigating supply chain risks, establishing strategic partnerships with fabricators, and ensuring technical compliance. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes, raw materials, and layout specifications alongside strong commercial negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

 Formulate and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for a diverse range of bare PCBs

(Rigid, Flex, Rigid-Flex).

 Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality domestic and international PCB fabricators capable of meeting technological roadmaps.

 Maintain a robust and balanced supply base, tracking KPIs across quality,



on-time delivery,

technical capabilities, and cost efficiency.

 Lead supplier risk management efforts, including implementing alternative sourcing strategies to eliminate single-source dependencies.

Technical Review & Cost Engineering

 Analyse technical drawings, specifications, Gerber files, and ODB++ files to ensure accurate

Requests for Quotes (RFQs).

 Partner with Engineering, Quality, and NPI (New Product Introduction) teams to optimize

Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Cost (DFC).

 Perform detailed cost analysis and clean-sheet pricing models based on layer count, copper weight, substrate materials (e.g., FR4, Rogers), and surface finishes.

 Keep pace with technological market trends including variations in raw material pricing, such as copper foil and prepreg sheets.

Commercial Negotiations & Operations

 Act as the central supplier interface for all RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs relative to bare PCBs.

 Negotiate long-term commercial agreements, favourable payment terms, capacity commitments, and lead time reduction protocols.

 Review and evaluate monthly invoices, statement cycles,



and end-of-billing transactions to ensure alignment with contract pricing.

 Resolve critical supply bottlenecks and quality escalations to secure continuity of manufacturing schedules

Qualifications And Skills

Education & Experience

 Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Materials Science, or a related technical field.

 Minimum 3–5 years of dedicated experience in sourcing, procurement, or technical sales within the electronics manufacturing or EMS sector, with an emphasis on bare PCBs.

 Established network of domestic and international PCB fabricators (experience with Asian and regional markets is highly beneficial).

Technical & Functional Competencies

 In-depth understanding of PCB fabrication processes, including drilling, imaging, plating,

etching, solder mask application, and electrical testing.

 Proficiency in interpreting Gerber files, PCB stack-ups, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

 Strong command of global logistics, customs regulations, and international trade compliance.

 Advanced proficiency in using ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel for analytical reporting.

Soft Skills

 Superior negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

 Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret market fluctuations and data trends.

 Demonstrated capacity to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality control, and production teams.
