- Role: Senior SDET / Test Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior SDET / Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in C#/.NET automation, backend testing, API validation and payment processing systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks and a strong understanding of the payment domain, particularly merchant acquiring, card transactions, chargebacks and risk management.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:

1. Test Automation & Technical Expertise

- 6+ years of experience in Test Automation / SDET roles, primarily focused on backend and server-side testing.
- Strong hands-on coding experience in C# / .NET.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using NUnit, MSTest or xUnit.
- Strong SQL Server expertise, including complex queries, stored procedures, transactions and data validation.
- Experience in REST API, web services and message-based testing.
- Exposure to Kafka, message queues, asynchronous processing and failure-scenario testing.
- Good understanding of Windows Server, services, event logs, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps/TFS, Jenkins or similar tools, along with Git.

2. Mandatory Payment Domain Experience

- Strong hands-on experience in the Payment Domain, preferably with companies such as PayPal, Worldpay, FIS, Fiserv,



Adyen or similar payment technology organizations.
- Positive understanding of Merchant Acquiring and the four-party payment model (Merchant, Acquirer, Card Scheme and Issuer).
- Knowledge of the complete payment transaction lifecycle, including Authorization, Capture, Clearing, Settlement and Merchant Payout.
- Experience with Refunds, Reversals, Offline Transactions, Chargebacks and Dispute Management.
- Understanding of Interchange Fees, Scheme Fees, Merchant Pricing and Transaction Reconciliation.
- Experience working on acquiring or merchant-processing platforms.

3. Good to Have Skills

- Knowledge of payment protocols and formats such as ISO 8583, GICC, ZVT, EMV, girocard, Visa and Mastercard clearing formats (Base II / IPM).
- Experience with payment simulators, terminal simulators, host simulators, HSM simulators and test card sets.
- Ability to read and understand C++ code.
- Exposure to Java, Spring Boot and REST API automation tools such as REST Assured or Postman/Newman.
- Performance testing experience using JMeter, k6, Gatling or similar tools.
- Knowledge of banking file formats such as SEPA, camt and Mastercard IPM.
- Experience with Jira / Xray and regulated environments involving PCI DSS, BaFin or DORA.
- Exposure to AWS and infrastructure migrations.
- German language skills would be an added advantage.

Important: Prior experience in the Payment Domain, particularly Merchant Acquiring / Card Payment Processing, is mandatory for this position.
