Job Title: SMT Supervisor

Role OverviewCavli Wireless is looking for an experienced SMT Supervisor to oversee day-to-day SMT production operations and ensure efficient line performance, quality, productivity, and manpower utilization. The role will be responsible for managing SMT production lines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, resolving production issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Line Management

- Execute daily and shift-wise production plans to achieve defined output targets.
- Monitor and manage SMT production lines to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
- Track production output, UPH, cycle time, line efficiency, and downtime.
- Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.

Manpower Management

- Allocate manpower across SMT lines and workstations based on production requirements.
- Manage shift deployment, absenteeism, and operator availability.
- Monitor operator performance and ensure adequate manpower coverage.
- Identify skill gaps and support operator training and development.

Quality & Process Control

- Ensure adherence to SOPs, Work Instructions, process parameters, and quality requirements.
- Ensure proper implementation of inspection and quality control procedures.
- Monitor rejection, rework, defects, and process deviations.
- Ensure compliance with ESD, PPE, and workplace safety requirements.

Material Management

- Ensure timely availability of components and materials required for production.
- Coordinate with Stores, Planning, and SCM teams to address material shortages.
- Monitor line-side material availability and minimize production interruptions due to shortages.

Equipment & Downtime Management

- Monitor equipment performance and identify major downtime/loss areas.




- Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering teams for breakdown resolution.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for recurring equipment issues.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

- Lead the initial response to production, quality, material, and equipment-related issues.
- Participate in RCA, CAPA, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive improvements in productivity, line efficiency, yield, and waste reduction.
- Identify opportunities to optimize SMT processes and improve overall line performance.

Safety & Workplace Management

- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Maintain ESD-safe working conditions across SMT production areas.
- Ensure adherence to 5S, housekeeping, and workplace discipline standards.

Reporting & Escalation

- Prepare and maintain shift-wise production, manpower, rejection, downtime, and productivity reports.
- Escalate critical quality, equipment, material, and manpower issues to the concerned stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure timely reporting of key operational issues.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5–8 years of experience in SMT / Electronics Manufacturing / PCBA Production.
- Strong hands-on experience in managing SMT production lines and operators.
- Good understanding of SMT processes, SMD components, PCB assembly, Reflow, Pick & Place, SPI/AOI and related processes.
- Experience in production planning, manpower handling, line balancing, and productivity monitoring.
- Good understanding of SOP/WI, ESD, 5S, quality standards, and safety practices.
- Experience in troubleshooting production issues and coordinating with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and SCM teams.
- Solid problem-solving, communication, and team-handling skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
