1. Job Purpose

To independently manage and monitor day-to-day ETP operations, ensure treated water quality meets applicable statutory standards, supervise site operators, maintain equipment, and ensure smooth and effective plant operations as per customer and company requirements.
1. Roles & Responsibilities

A. ETP Operations
- Monitor daily ETP operations and ensure smooth plant functioning.
- Understand and operate the complete ETP treatment process.
- Monitor raw effluent, treated water quality and process parameters.
- Ensure proper chemical dosing, pH correction and sludge management.
- Monitor aeration, biological treatment, clarification and filtration systems.
- Ensure treated water quality meets applicable TNPCB/CPCB norms and consent conditions.
- Maintain daily operational records and log sheets.

B. Equipment & Maintenance
- Monitor the condition of pumps, blowers, agitators, filters and other equipment.
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Identify equipment failures and coordinate immediate rectification.
- Monitor chemical storage, dosing systems and consumables.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the ETP area.
- Report major equipment breakdowns to the management immediately.

C. Manpower Management
- Supervise ETP operators, helpers and other site personnel.
- Allocate daily duties and monitor employee attendance.
- Ensure operators follow company SOPs and safety procedures.




- Provide operational training and guidance to operators.
- Maintain discipline and proper manpower utilisation.

D. Laboratory & Quality Control
- Conduct routine laboratory analysis of wastewater.
- Monitor pH, TSS, COD, BOD, TDS and other relevant parameters.
- Maintain daily laboratory testing records.
- Monitor chemical consumption and treatment efficiency.
- Coordinate external laboratory testing whenever required.

E. Statutory Compliance & Safety
- Ensure ETP operations comply with applicable pollution control requirements.
- Maintain statutory records and environmental monitoring reports.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of sludge.
- Ensure PPE usage and workplace safety.
- Report any environmental or safety-related incidents immediately.

F. Customer & Management Coordination
- Coordinate with customer representatives regarding daily ETP operations.
- Attend customer meetings and discuss operational issues.
- Submit daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Inform management about operational challenges and additional requirements.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for technical support.

1. Daily Reporting Requirements

The Site In-Charge must submit the following reports:
- Daily ETP operational report.
- Raw and treated water quality report.




- Chemical consumption report.
- Electricity and equipment running-hour details.
- Manpower attendance report.
- Equipment breakdown and maintenance report.
- Sludge generation and disposal details.
- Daily plant photographs and operational updates.

B.Sc Chemistry / M.Sc Chemistry / Diploma / B.E. Chemical

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years in ETP operations

Technical Knowledge

ETP process, chemical treatment and biological treatment

Laboratory Skills pH, COD, BOD, TSS and other wastewater analysis

Computer Skills

MS Excel, Word and daily reporting

Additional Skills

Manpower handling and customer coordination

1. Authority & Accountability

- Responsible for complete ETP site operations.
- Accountable for treated water quality and operational performance.
- Responsible for site manpower and equipment monitoring.
- Must immediately escalate major technical and statutory issues to the O&M; Manager.
- Responsible for ensuring all operators follow company SOPs.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
