Role DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Site Engineer – Substation & Switchyard Projects to join our project team at Kutch, Bhuj, Gujarat.

The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day civil and structural site activities associated with substation and switchyard projects. The role requires practical site experience, the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and coordination with project managers, contractors, vendors and other stakeholders.

The candidate will monitor construction progress, supervise civil and structural works, conduct site inspections, ensure quality and safety compliance, resolve site-related technical issues and maintain proper project documentation.





The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of substation and switchyard civil works and the ability to manage site activities efficiently while ensuring work is carried out as per approved drawings, project specifications and scheduled timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil and structural construction activities at substation and switchyard project sites.
- Ensure execution of civil works as per approved drawings, technical specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise foundations, equipment foundations, transformer foundations, cable trenches, control room civil works, structural supports and other associated civil works, as applicable to the project.
- Read and interpret civil and structural drawings, layouts and construction specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, project managers and engineering teams for smooth site execution.
- Monitor project progress, manpower deployment, material availability and daily work schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality of materials and workmanship.
- Identify site-level technical issues and coordinate with the concerned engineering team for timely resolution.
- Ensure adherence to site safety requirements and applicable quality standards.
- Maintain daily progress reports,



site records, inspection reports and other project documentation.
- Support project planning and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.

Qualifications & Skills
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in site execution and supervision, particularly (minimum 2 years) in substation and switchyard projects.
- Strong understanding of civil and structural construction activities related to electrical substations and switchyards.
- Practical knowledge of foundations, RCC works, equipment foundations, cable trenches and structural works.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts and technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of site supervision, quality control, construction practices and safety requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of daily site progress reports.
- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage site activities, coordinate with contractors and meet project deadlines.
- Candidates with relevant experience in power infrastructure and substation projects will be preferred.
