Role Description The Shift Supervisor role at Ferns N Petals is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata.

The Shift

Supervisor oversees daily operations during assigned shifts, including managing order processing, coordinating flower and cake preparation, and monitoring delivery schedules to ensure timely service. This role involves supervising staff, assigning tasks, and supporting team members to maintain quality standards and workplace safety.

Supervisor also handles basic inventory checks, addresses customer issues escalated from the front line, and ensures that company policies and procedures are followed.



The position requires active participation on the shop floor and clear communication with management and other departments.

Qualifications

- Experience in supervising teams in retail, hospitality, or logistics operations, with the ability to coordinate staff and shift activities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple orders, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members, customers, and management in a professional manner.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and order management processes; prior experience in delivery or supply-chain settings is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons, and to remain calm under pressure.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in business, retail management, or hospitality is beneficial.
- Prior experience in a flower, bakery, or gifting environment is a plus but not mandatory.
