Senior Systems Engineer (Hardware)
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Systems Engineer (Hardware) to own the deployment and field performance of the critical electrical and electronic systems in our mobile robots: perception sensors, wireless and power.
The role covers LiDARs and safety laser scanners, cameras and depth sensors, Wi-Fi clients, batteries, BMS and chargers, and keeps firmware and configuration under control across the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- The engineer will work with vendors on component upgrades and alternates, define battery and charging behavior across environments, lead DFMEA and risk assessments for electrical and electronic changes, and review and approve every electrical, component and firmware change, including vendor firmware releases, before it goes to verification.
- They will maintain hardware and firmware configuration baselines per site, write the test cases and site acceptance tests (SATs) that verify each change before and after field rollout,
plan upgrades across sites with minimal customer disruption, and set the test standards and acceptance limits components are qualified against.
- The role also involves supporting recent deployments and commissioning, leading first-level triage of electrical and electronic field escalations, deep-diving component-level failures and logging them through to closure, and analyzing how component behavior affects localization and navigation.
Role Requirements & Experience
- This is an individual-contributor role for someone with 4+ years of experience who brings clarity to ambiguity, takes ownership, and drives issues from technical definition through closure.
Location & Travel
- Location: Gurugram, with travel to customer and supplier locations in the US, Europe, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
