- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering. Additional certifications in Supply Chain Management (SCM) are highly advantageous.
- Target Industries: Heavy Engineering, Plastic Machinery Manufacturing, or Pharma Machinery Manufacturing.
- Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, audit, and onboard qualified suppliers to build a reliable and long-term vendor database.
- Technical & Commercial Review: Analyze engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and technical specifications to align procurement with production delivery timelines.
- Price Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations to finalize optimal pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules,



and payment conditions.
- Long-Lead Item Tracking: Track and expedite high-value, imported, or long-lead items to proactively mitigate production bottlenecks.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal Design, Quality Control, Production, Service, and Accounts departments.
- Performance Monitoring: Review supplier delivery adherence, quality metrics, and cost-saving objectives, implementing corrective strategies when necessary.
- Technical Comprehension: Strong understanding of complex industrial engineering components.
- Cost Estimation: Proven ability to accurately calculate costs directly from engineering drawings.
- Systems Proficiency: Experience working with ERP platforms (highly desirable).
- Core Skills: Robust negotiation, vendor auditing, and commercial analysis skills.
