- Monitor Oracle databases, RAC clusters, ASM, Data Guard, and related services to ensure database availability, performance, and stability.
- Respond to alerts, incidents, and customer-impacting issues; perform initial troubleshooting using documented SOPs and runbooks, and escalate critical or complex issues to senior DBA resources as required.
- Participate in production incident calls (P1/P2), provide timely status updates, and maintain accurate incident records through ticketing systems.
- Perform routine database operational tasks including health checks, startup/shutdown activities, monitoring tablespace utilization, storage growth, replication health, listener status, cluster services, and Data Guard synchronization.
- Track database performance metrics, identify blocking sessions and long-running queries,



collect diagnostic information, and assist with performance issue triage and resolution.
- Support routine maintenance activities, including execution of approved maintenance procedures, patch validation, post-maintenance application and database verification, and adherence to operational standards.
- Provide weekend, on-call, and after-hours support as required to maintain production database availability and meet service level commitments.
- Should be able to understand basics of Postgres performance troubleshooting and SQL script review and execution in controlled manner.
