Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer Vertical Machining Centre (VMC)

Job Summary:

We are seeking two experienced Mechanical Design Engineers with deep expertise in Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs), specifically in BT30 and BT40 configurations. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in product development of compact VMC models hands-on experience with MCV, BMV, and JV series from leading competitors like AMS, BFW, and LMW.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead mechanical design and development of small-size VMCs (BT30/BT40)
- Create and optimize 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
- Apply design principles to improve machine rigidity, thermal stability, and precision
- Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and FEA simulations
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new models
- Document design processes, BOMs, and engineering change notices (ECNs)




- Benchmark competitor models and integrate best practices into new designs

Preferred Experience

- 510+ years in mechanical design of VMCs
- Hands-on experience with BT30/BT40 spindle configurations
- A solid working knowledge of MS Office toolsincluding Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is must.

- Product development exposure to

- MCV450/550/650 (AMS)

- BMV45/50 (BFW)

- JV55/Kraft (LMW)

Preferred Qualification

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Specialization in Machine Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or CAD/CAM is a plus
- Proficiency in English is preferred for effective communication across teams and stakeholders.

Skills & Tools

- Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with machining processes, materials, and thermal dynamics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Willingness to travel abroad
