We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer / New Product Development Engineer with expertise in mechanical product design, CAD modeling, design validation, prototyping, and product lifecycle management.

Role & Responsibilities

- Lead mechanical design and new product development activities from concept to final production.
- Develop 3D models, 2D engineering drawings, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Perform design calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and R&D.;
- Coordinate with external design studios, vendors, and manufacturing partners.
- Develop prototypes and conduct design verification, testing, and validation.
- Optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost, quality, and performance.
- Manage design changes, engineering documentation, and product lifecycle activities.




- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements.

Required Skills

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Mechanical Design or New Product Development.
- Experience in either a mechanical design consultancy / engineering design studio or an in-house product development team.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
- Strong understanding of GD&T;, engineering drawings, tolerances, and materials.
- Experience in prototyping, testing, and design validation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, molding, or injection molding.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in end-to-end product development and product industrialization.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, DFA, and value engineering.
- Experience managing multiple design projects and engineering deliverables.
- Exposure to PLM tools and engineering change management.
