V4 IT Services is an established Australian IT services company headquartered in Melbourne, providing IT support, computer repairs and technical solutions to residential and business customers across Australia.

We are expanding our specialist Data Recovery Division and seeking an experienced Senior Data Recovery Engineer with solid hands-on expertise in HDD and SSD data recovery.

This is a permanent work-from-home position involving remote collaboration with our Melbourne-based technical team.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and recover data from failed, inaccessible, corrupted and non-detecting HDDs and SSDs.
- Perform advanced HDD firmware diagnosis, troubleshooting and recovery.
- Operate professional recovery equipment, including PC-3000, PC-3000 Data Extractor, DeepSpar, Dolphin DFL, MRT or equivalent systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electronic, firmware and logical storage failures.
- Perform controlled disk imaging, bad-sector recovery and data extraction.
- Troubleshoot SSD firmware, controller and NAND-related failures.
- Independently manage complex data recovery cases remotely.
- Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to our Australian repair technicians.
- Assist with equipment selection, laboratory procedures and expanding our data recovery operations.




- Maintain strict customer data confidentiality and security standards.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on professional data recovery experience.
- Strong practical knowledge of PC-3000 or equivalent professional data recovery equipment.
- Proven experience recovering data from failed HDDs and SSDs.
- Strong understanding of HDD architecture, firmware, electronics and storage technologies.
- Experience with advanced disk imaging and recovery techniques.
- Previous experience working in a professional data recovery laboratory.
- Ability to work independently in a permanent remote environment.
- Good English communication skills.

Skills Requirements:

- PC-3000 SSD and NVMe recovery experience.
- Experience with DeepSpar, Dolphin DFL, MRT or Rusolut.
- RAID, NAS and server data recovery.
- HDD PCB and electronics troubleshooting.
- USB flash drive and memory card recovery.
- Experience establishing or managing professional data recovery laboratories.
