Job OverviewWe are looking for an API Security Implementation Engineer with 5 years of experience in API security, API Gateway technologies, and enterprise integrations. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing the Wallarm API Security Platform and integrating it with existing API infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement, configure, and maintain the Wallarm API Security Platform.
- Integrate Wallarm with Kong Gateway and NGINX.
- Configure API security policies, API discovery, bot protection, and threat detection.
- Implement API authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Ensure security implementation does not disrupt existing API services.
- Monitor API traffic, troubleshoot issues, and manage security policies.
- Collaborate with application, middleware, and infrastructure teams.

Required Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with API Security and API Management.




- Kong Gateway (Open Source / Enterprise).
- NGINX / OpenResty and Lua scripting.
- RESTful APIs and JSON/XML processing.
- JWT, OAuth 2.0, mTLS, TLS/SSL, and API Key Management.
- Linux/Unix, Docker, Git, and Shell/Python scripting.
- CI/CD pipelines and load balancers.
- Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with Wallarm or similar API Security platforms.

Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
- Knowledge of ESQL, IBM MQ, JMS, SOAP, and REST integrations.
- Experience with middleware administration, message flows, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in banking, financial services, or BFSI environments.
- Experience implementing API security solutions in enterprise environments.
