We are seeking a detail-oriented In Charge to coordinate operations at our state-of-the-art research facility in Attibele. The role involves close collaboration with scientists, researchers, onsite administration, and procurement to ensure technical readiness, equipment reliability, biosafety compliance, and efficient use of resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily administration and maintenance of shared instruments, including scheduling, user access, and efficient utilization.
- Oversee operation, calibration, maintenance, and timely servicing of major research instruments to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical support to faculty, researchers, and technical staff on instrument use, methodologies, and troubleshooting.
- Train students and interns on safe and effective instrument use; conduct inductions and laboratory safety training for current users.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, quality-control procedures, biosafety protocols, and accurate documentation to ensure compliance.
- Plan and manage resources, including budgeting, procurement, AMC/CMC coordination, consumables, and instrument upgrades.
- Coordinate with service personnel and vendors for instrument installation, maintenance, and servicing; ensure clear communication and follow-up.
- Take end-to-end ownership of instrument breakdowns: troubleshoot, raise service requests, coordinate vendor visits, and follow through to resolution.

- Maintain detailed records of breakdowns, service calls, downtime, repairs, spare parts, warranty claims, and service reports.
- Perform or coordinate post-service QC, calibration, and performance checks prior to returning instruments to users.
- Communicate instrument status, expected downtime, and restoration timelines to users and management; monitor recurring issues and escalate for corrective action, replacement, or upgrade when necessary.
- Maintain the SKAN-RT website and digital presence with up-to-date information on research activities, publications, facilities, team members, events, and achievements.

Qualifications

- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience managing research laboratories or core facilities, preferably across multiple laboratory platforms.
- Hands-on experience with advanced equipment (e.g., high-throughput sequencers, flow cytometers, single-cell sorters) and complex sample types (stem cell–derived materials, organoids, blood, co-cultures).
- Strong understanding of instrument operation and sample-preparation complexities.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proven ability to collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and timelines in a fast-paced research environment.
